Enjoy winter activities in Priest Lake, Idaho
With an average snowfall of 62 inches per year, Priest Lake is a beautiful winter destination with several activities and events to enjoy around this mountain lake area. Residents and visitors alike can spend the day exploring over 400 miles of snowmobile trails. Although this will satisfy the need for speed, there are those who prefer the peace and quiet of cross-country skiing and snowshoeing. All of these activities have several local places to rent equipment and even proper clothing. Many of the trails can be accessed directly from the resorts located along the shores of the crystal clear Priest Lake. Check out this trail map provided by the Priest Lake Chamber.
Along the way of over miles of groomed trails are several sight-seeing opportunities. Venture North from Nordman to the Roosevelt Grove of Ancient Cedars and Granite Falls. If the 2,000 year old cedar forest isn’t enough, the Upper and Lower Granite Falls are spectacular to see in the winter months with the ice formations along the falls.
